well I have limits. but at one store, I was in the checkout line and I said "Wait, I have a bag in the car, let me run and get it!"

By the way, we just hired a girl who recently graduated from UCSC and was secretary of the student Republican group there. Seems a little shell shocked.

That was very good of you. Bringing my own bag is pretty much a habit now. It's pretty easy: just keep a bag in your car, and remember to bring it with you when you go into the store. After a week or so, it becomes automatic.
