Full-Cut, Pleated Pants

I am looking for pants that are cut full in the thigh, double pleated, tapered at the bottom, perhaps slightly dropped crotch. In a soft, drapey fabric, blue or black or grey.

Any suggestions? Hopefully not crazy expensive.

Sounds like any Brooks Brothers pants.

Yes. But more exagerated, more drapey.

Get them a few sizes bigger.

Try any old PRL "hammond" or "Andrew" models.

Yohji Yamamoto? Comme des Garcons? What you described seems like the trousers they are both known for..

Yeah, I'm thinking more of this kind of look. Is there a cheaper way to do it than the above, though? I assume that either Yohji or CdG would be pretty $$$$.

What sort of price range are you looking for?

I'd look around B&S or Superfuture for something used, or Y!J, they're not rare. But, be careful because this is a style that will look horrible in anything but nice or interesting fabrics with good drape. It's really all about the cloth...

I wonder what would happen if you gave one of these online tailoring sites absurdly dysmorphic measurements like 40" thighs with a 8" hem.

You should start an experiment thread and post results!

Just buy J.Crew and tailor it

Lad Musician has been making pants for the last couple seasons that meet your description somewhat. Not sure if they're baggy enough for you, but they are definitely worth checking out.
