actually, it's most likely a mixture of muscle, fat, and water. it really depends on your diet specifics to what portions of those three it may be. if your daily intake of carbs increased a good deal, a large portion of that could be just water weight. if you replaced some of your crappy fats and crappy carbs with protein and low glycemic carbs and nice omega 3's and 6's, a good portion of the weight could be muscle. or it may be just the time of day you weighed yourself. example: currently, my weight when I wake up and the weight when I go to sleep is about a 8-pound difference. sometimes 10. as long as you like what you see in the mirror, it shouldn't really matter or bother you too much.
