Would it be possible to get a picture of where you took that thigh measurement?

FWIW I think they're really nice looking and I was considering them, but 10.5" is a bit too large for me (I'm 20 pounds lighter than you). I need 9-9.5" in the thigh to get a tight fit.

I'm the flip side, I think 10.5 may be a bit small for me, but again, it would help to see if that 10.5 is taken at the level of the crotch, etc.

The 10.5" was taken almost right at crotch level. They're pretty tight in the thighs, but then again I have funny shaped runner legs (my upper thighs are significantly thicker than my lower thighs). I wear a size 28 new standard, and they fit pretty similarly in the upper leg, but they don't taper. Actually, I'd say they fit almost exactly like a size 28 NS but with a straight leg, slightly lower rise, and probably a little bit larger waist, though my APCs are stretched now so they're the same...and, of course, the denim is nicer. edit: keep in mind that I am 6'1...a lot of you shorter folks' ideas of "thick legs" would probably be the same as my skinny legs. for reference, here's a pic of the size 28 NS:
