Solo birthday dinner in Toronto? - Page 4

Happy Belated fellow 416er.

If you are thinking solo, go to any of the lounges on King or College that have bands or piano playing. At least there you can get absorbed in the music.

After reading the last page more closely, I take it back. Pizza with a companion? Toolish.

Alternatively, I'll take a Libretto pizza

Whatever, since being here I've enjoyed going out to quiet bars and lounges a few times solo. Once I even brought my notebook and wrote in it while sitting at the bar. Put that in your 1931 Paris Henry Miller kind-of-way pipe and smoke it, you yuppy!

I've heard very good things about Pizzaria Libretto, but I can never convince my GF to go there because she only eats deep dish pizza....

Who brings a notebook to a bar? G-damn hipsters always trying to look cool while trying not to look like they're trying...

All I bring is my overwhelmingly awe inspiring presence and my nattily attired self

Hey, the fact that I like drinking while writing sometimes is none of your business! It's artistic expression! I can simultaneously bring my awe inspiring presence and nattily attired self. You're jealous.
