Yup. For some reason, the classic round toe on the wedge sole were comfortable right out of the box, but these took some time to break in...

I have a pair of both and the Thorogood boots kill the Red Wings on almost every level.

kiya, could you elaborate? will probably go check out the thorogoods in person sometime soon, but more info ahead of time would be greatly appreciated!

Hey what are those jeans if you don't mind me asking. Thanks

I have been wearing the Thorogoods for a week (8 or so hours/day mostly standing) and I have to say my feet are in absolute agony! I changed the insoles after 3 days (got some "Down Unders") and it actually made it worse (I think the DU's have their own "break in" period)

I HOPE it's just a matter of a break in and that they become comfortable because a) I will be wearing them every day and b) they are gorgeous boots!

I dont imagine the GT's would have treated me any better (I was actually planning on buying the Wolverine 1000 mile until I read the earlier posts in this thread!) as I have fairly flat feet and typically have had issues with shoes and especially boots.

I just wore the Thorogoods to work today for the first time and did a good deal of walking around the office. Felt fine to me, no pain here.

Mine felt just fine as well. About as comfortable and uneventful a break-in as I could have expected. Insoles are amazingly comfortable.

You will not find a better boot in its $$$ weight class than the Epaulet Thorogood. I picked up a pair the day they were released and have worn them every other day, give or take. They break in extremely well.

There's a reason why they sit right next to Alden boots on the shelf at the Epaulet shop; they can definitely hold their own. (Not to say I would, given the choice between either pair, for free, turn down the Indy boots.)
