Socks you never knew existed but now desperately need

I want to discuss socks with you all. I get the impression that you are plunking down serious coin on some steezy items, and neglecting your socks by throwing on some chubby Hanes ankle sock thing like the kind a bus driver would wear, or you are opting to go without socks altogether or, such is your uncomfortable relationship to socks, that you spring for "fun" socks with argyle or similar nonsense on them because you haven't made your peace with the idea of socks as equally important in your attire. I would love to be proven wrong. Please post pictures of your baller socks (subtle ones included, of course), sock storage mechanism, planned sock kops for the next year, etc. Lest you think this is some MC masturbation, I'm talking about sox in the context of baller streetwear. Or is the whole high/low concept of SWD that you can wear Rick Owens with Hanes? NO SMARTWOOL

I have a couple argyle socks, just for the hell of it. But most of my socks are indeed white Hanes socks, I have to admit. I plan on buying some nice socks soon. Like, wolf-hair socks and shit.

CDG herringbones are kinda cute though...
Our pal Stephan needs to start churning out some insane next level textiles for socks, I think. $250 a pair?

I would crush for SS Housewares line.

Don't wear them in conjunction with your Prorsum sweater though... the black and white ones seem interesting. I am wearing an el-cheapo sweater with that exact pattern, it's a coupla sizes too big and looks pretty boss when tucked in.

I'm having trouble visualizing where your style is going, sippy.
Sometimes I just want to drop everything and adopt some Japanese chunky-at-home natural knits style with fair isle stuff and uhh layering and spend the days watching soaps at home, like this,

If thatt is where your style is going, I approve.

Me too, but I don't care anymore. I'm down with Japanese at-home fisherman though.

Jesus. When I do wear socks, they're cheap. I've been looking for and wanting better ones though. This thread better come with links, proxies and donations. Jet, I'm looking in your direction.

I can't see myself dropping major coin on designer socks. I can appreciate the finer materials used but in the end all I want are comfortable socks and one that'll keep my feet warm (in the winter). But maybe this thread will change my mind. Uniqlo socks are something I'd be willing to try, although I would need a proxy. Not sure if they're worth the trouble.
