He is leaning forward on the picture that is why his tie looks a bit long.
I would never wear trousers this short and cuffed
I would never wear striped shirt with a striped suit.
Subtract some points for shoes.

The very tall collar and short pants are throwing off the top/bottom balance.

I wear them that short all the time. Well, not all the time, but some of the time. Like when I'm cleaning out the sceptic tank.

Kidding aside, the mrs. makes fun of me when I wear them that short, but I figure I have to wear something that does not earn her seal of approval.

Everything is good except the length of his pants - they should be a little longer. The guy on the right looks like a disaster.

Slim chelsea boots would be very good with that suit.

I think the trousers are too short only by american standards. To a continental, I doubt this would be even noticed as a potential flaw

Interesting. I had always heard the opposite. I thought Americans had long been slammed for wearing trousers too short and sleeves too long, when compared to European men. Has the tide shifted that much?

Oh, and dude looks sharp to me....of course the bastard is fairly tall and slim with a good head of hair Makes it awfully easy for him...

Nope. The trend continues. Although I have to say that after last 10 years I see less of that ugliness on the streets of Boston or NYC. (short cuffed pants with pointy tasseled loafers)

On a similar note: if you want to find a textbook example of ill-fitting, badly coordinated suit, look no further ... than the guy who's interviewing him

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing! Also, if you want to see what 99% of the population would be wearing, look no further than the rest of the crowd in the background in their ugly loafers, sandals, baggy cheap khakis, stretched out - color faded polos.

I think Americans and many other men wear their pants too long. On the other hand, I think some Italians (like the one pictured) wear their pants slightly too short and are not only showing off their shoes, but their socks as well.

His trousers are a wee-bit short, and that large cuff is too much for the narrow cut of his trousers.

Actually large cuffs tend to work much better with very narrow style trousers like the ones from Napoli (the more narrow the better). They do not work with regular, straight cut trousers.
