WARNING : Seller SUAVE

Thread Starter
Hi, Just to let you know somethings you should know about a seller named SUAVE. I buyed him a banana republic trenchcoat here. I remember that another member put on the thread "free bump for a great seller". I paid 140$ and haven't got nothing (money sent as a gift dammit). I tried to send him a pm : user is banned!!!! (I would like to know why!!!) Then I tried an email : this user doesn't want to recieve emails!!! Man I wonder how many people were abused by this jerk! So be warned his the history of our conversations : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi, How much would be the trench shipped to Switzerland? Is it belted? Thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Belted and $150 shipped How about 130? 100 the trench, 30 of shipping Deal Paypal adress? bananarepublic1340@yahoo.com are you able to send payment as a gift to avoid fees and avoid my possible account limited access. i have a new account, and was told new accounts receiving large payments tend to get accounts put on limited access. sending as gift would avoid that hassle, but if you don't feel comfortable doing that i understand ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Money sent as a gift, paid 135.75. My adress: xxxxxxxxxxx I count on you now. let me know when it's shipped ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ i shipped priority international. they didnt offer tracking for that method, i would of had to get express international for tracking, which was ridiculously expensive. lmk when you receive! thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://www.styleforum.net/showthread...96864&page=256 Sorry, says on that thread that he was a scammer. I have no idea if that's true or not, so hopefully you get your item, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Any identifying info for us to watch out for? Paypal account, etc?

Priority Int'l Airmail comes with a tracking #. I'm sorry for your mishap.

^ No, it doesn't. Only USPS Express does. SUAVE was right.

If you paid with a credit card, you can do a chargeback to PayPal.

I always have sellers send stuff to me through Priority Airmail Int'l, and it always is tracked... First Class Int'l Mail isn't tracked, though.

yeah, you can use the customs form # for tracking.

sucks man - never do personal payment for someone who isn't well established (and even then with caution)

SUAVE is a scammer. he tried to scam me with a empty an empty envelope that was sent to my address. to clarify USPS global priority mail, priority mail is tracked by USPS, but priority flat rate envelope and packages are not required to be tracked. my experience is that they are sometimes tracked, but it's not required by USPS.

Yep - there's a trackable # on your receipt if you go with Priority Int'l Mail. The green custom form (PS form 2976)'s reference # isn't trackable though... But yeah, on topic: this doesn't look good...

Sorry to hear that. But yes, if you paid via credit card you may be able to talk to your company and have them charge it back. He tried scamming me a while back, selling an Iphone 4. His paypal accounts are extremely generic.

LA GUY should put don't send paypal payments as gifts, unless it is already.... I always pay the extra 4% even if they ask specifically for gift.

this guy knows the deal with paypal and tracking and is taking advantage of it.

he sent me an empty envelope and tried to play innocent. he addressed the envelop wrong intentionally - wrong name and wrong house number, but my street only has 5 houses and i'm the only asian family and so somehow the envelope still made it's way to me. when i sent him an email stating the above facts he immediately stopped communication.

You should be able to open a dispute or file a complaint with his police dept for mail fraud. Ask for receipt as it would display the weight of item sent.

This whole send payment as gift is pure BS. Buyer doesnt have much protection off Ebay as it is and marking payment as gift just eliminates whatever little protection you might have.

Any USPS customs form number can be used for tracking. First class, priority or express. It isnt full tracking though if it is just first class.
^ I had previously thought that Priority was trackable (non-customs #) but was told a few days ago that it wasn't. Maybe I was misinformed. I've shipped probably 100 items overseas but my memory doesn't serve me here.

About tracking via customs #, that surely would only verify a package made it into the country right? So that would seem to be of absolutely no use to verify delivery.
