But that's exactly the thing. If you don't cut it open now, you may never be able to remove the glue. If it's soft, you can still do something about it.

No, the glue. If it is currently soft, it can seep into the fibers of the cloth, then harden again. Over time, the acidity of the glue will eat away at your jacket and the seams will disintegrate.

You don't even know what's in there, and you're asking him to cut open a new bespoke jacket?

I thought you were unhappy with the suit he made you a while back. Giving him another go?

Yes. If I knew what was in there, he wouldn't need to cut it open to find out.

Ah, a young foofer. Not bad.

Unfortunately, all the foofing in the world won't stop real glue from eating a real suit.

Wearing an NSM suit today (my first). The shoulder seam is about 1/2 inch past the bone. No artifact (the bone is about wear the wadding starts). No gkue as far as I can tell, but I didn't cut open any seams.

I appreciate your concern, but I think I'm gonna roll the dice on this one and leave the scissors alone.

But please do notify us when your jacket disintegrates.

No need to exaggerate. The seams will disintegrate. The jacket will simply fall into ragged pieces.
