my visit to Napoli & Mina @ Napoli Su Misura - Page 212

Someone's gotta burn that glue to see if it's synthetic or made from Neapolitan horse's hooves.

Edit: Dammit, AY beat me to the punchline. Guess we all make the same jokes, too?

Center back seam is not stitched down, it's pressed. My RTW Attolinis are done the same way.

The way it's done is interesting though - it doesnt look like two sides of cloth stitched together (French seams? Sorry for not knowing the lingo better). The seam allowance is folded into one side and then stitched to the other....will post pics in a sec.

I checked my NSM jacket and had the same experience as unbel

It's 3pm over here though. My Neapolitan glue might be on lunch break. Will check again at 6pm.

How do we know that white-ish stain is glue? It might be a shot of someone's wadding.

No, the glue might have softened up. You need cut the seam open with scissors.

Ok well I'm not going to do that, sorry. But I have had this jacket only for a couple of weeks, and my others feel the same. So if there is glue in there, it softens and becomes ineffectual within a few weeks 10 out of 10 times.
