unbelragazzo, your blue coat looks like it has a longer lapel line than forex's and mine. Did you specify anything to get this, or is this just how it came out?
Couple from the first fitting, still some work to do
Finally.

His looks like a one-button which would traditionally have a lower buttoning point than a 3-r-2 or 2-button.
Really? I thought the buttoning point was largely independent of number of buttons (at least between 1, 2 and 3 button styles), but that each of those obviously could have different buttoning points...

That's correct.
I think there's a combination of camera angle and a buttoning that is actually lower. I know I had my buttoning point lowered twice with NSM to get to something I like.

The buttoning point should be at natural waist, what you see is just a function of lapel roll. I asked her to roll the lapel just under the third button to try to minimize the open V shape. Edited by forex - 3/28/12 at 9:04am

Kaplan,
On that first one, I don't remember actually saying long lapel line, but Mina did let me choose my buttoning point, so in that sense I chose one that led to a longer lapel line. it's a three roll two jacket though. The fresco suit is a peak lapel, and given that both Mina and I like high peaks and I did specifically express my appreciation of a nice long line going from the button to the peak, that one will surely feature a lapel line you could ski down.

I see. Ours seem to be pretty identical at this stage, but I would prefer more of a V.

Mine's 3 roll 2 as well. Hopefully the lower buttoning point I asked for will result in the amount of V and lenght of lapel I'm envisioning. I hate to be nitpicky about this, but on the other hand I guess you have to be pretty articulate about your preferences...
Very funny. I guess we have the same taste in cloth (PH 25345) because I am also having that same one made up and expecting to receive it in 2 weeks. I'm jealous that I never was able to locate the Riviera I wanted.
when does mina come through the states again? does she have any NYC / San Fran tours scheduled? These newer make ups seem slightly less casual, which is nicer in my opinion. More towards Attolini, less Boglioli.
