Going to a very southern college, I am surrounded by copious amounts of dip which I find intriguing. Coming from New York City I never really saw any of this; I smoke cigs and shitty cigars so I'm no stranger to low class tobacco. That being said, I'm curious about dip, any facts really. Social image, health facts, methods of consumption, how it feels, etc. All I know about it is that an old friend who lives in Maryland tells me middle schoolers who think they're cool do it, but here rich scions of southern families also do it... The local Fiji president is a particularly big consumer.

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

Ehh. Kind of a hick thing. I used to dip (because I'm a hick) and I always found that the nicotine made it into my system noticeably faster than cigarettes. It can get stuck in your teeth and be kind of gross, but now they make them into little premade packets called Bandits which keeps the tobacco from going into your teeth. Anyway, it is not very cool and not worth trying if you haven't done it already. It is a disgusting habit, continually having to spit into a container, and the little buzz it gives you isn't worth it. Just smoke some weed instead.

It's pretty popular among boarding school athletes everywhere. I've known people from Virginia to Massachusetts that dipped semi-regularly at boarding school. It's basically a substitute for smoking since smoking is not allowed on most campuses. Also, it's very low key since you can just sit there with a gatorade bottle in your room instead of hiding in the woods to smoke or whatever. Also, it's a "healthier" a way to get nicotine since it doesn't mess up your lungs, which is a plus for all athletes.

Dip is pretty disgusting, all my friends at high school used to do dip and were always like "listi listi, try dip it gives you such a buzz" and I was like "uhh it's pretty gross" and one guy was like "it's only gross the first time when the skin from your mouth starts to peel off but don't worry it only happens like the first time or two then it stops peeling off" and I was just like "HOW CAN YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THIS BEING BAD FOR YOU." And of course, everyone who has had dipping friends in highschool/college has been to the party... you know where one guy is foolishly spitting his dip in an empty beer bottle and puts it beside his regular beer, inadvertantly drinks the dip spit, and subsequently pukes vile gutter beer and tobacco everywhere.
