Very excited about Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip - Page 3

I tried to like this show but it became dull and unwatchable after just a couple weeks. something about the writing made me not care what was going to happen next.

on the flip side, a similar themed show but in comedy form, that I like a LOT is 30 Rock. Tina Fey is hot and the writing is pretty damn funny. having it run 30 minutes helps its pacing so it doesnt slow down and get mired in doldrum, like Studio 60 does.

Doesn't seem like you'll have Studio 60 around much longer to kick around as there is talk that it will be pulled. As I mentioned back when the thread was started, the promos looked very unfunny and it sounds like the show has caught up to the promos.

I show that I watched last night for the first time that I thought was very funny is a new one with Ted Danson and the mother from Malcolm in the middle. Danson is a psychiatrist. Funny both in a slapstick way and also some cerebral comedy. I am happy to see Ted back. It comes on after Dancing wit Stars (man that Emmitt Smith can sure shimmy!!)

I agree, 30 Rock is very funny. Alec Baldwin is great in it as well.

I'm very disappointed at how bad it is. It's like a caricature of Sorkin if Sorkin thought started believing in his own hype and thought he could do no wrong.

Oh wait...

On the other hand, I really like Heroes and Friday Night Lights, which they are putting on the Studio 60 slot as an experiment. Friday Night Lights is really a tremendous show.
