I see you're jealous

You guys sure invest a lot of time in dressing your age, but what about acting your age? I see how some belts are low quality but not all. I have one 60$ Pierre Cardin there and another regular brown belt. It's not exactly "feces".

It's not about taking my advice, it's frustrating when peoplecome here, ask for feedback, and become intensely contrarian when they get feedback from knowledgable people -- and I don't just mean myself, check WAYWT -- that they don't like. Worse yet, they think that style is an objective, quantifiable thing and they want you to give them all the answers rather than reading around. Simply reading posts here is one of the best things you can do. You're right though Berlin, it's better to avoid a conflict rather than begin one, so sorry Surreal for being hostile. Just remember that reading here is a better way to learn than asking about specific items. Ps Berlin, I don't think I an authority on style. What I'm saying is basic advice. It's better to learn what you want than be told what you want.

imo

Belt #1: is nice; simple
2: I prefer a d-ring on a canvas belt
3: odd buckle
4: don't like the pyramid design
5&6: don't like how either of those belts buckle

If you ask my why, it's just my opinion so I can't give you a reason. I like what I like. So obviously you have to take everything with a grain of salt and make your own decisions. Which belts do YOU think you should keep?

for fux sake, belts are one of those accessories which practically never wear out. So don't fukkin worry about "what makes a great belt". As long as it's leather or cloth and doesn't melt against your clothing, just buy what looks good to YOU. I've seen perfectly fine belts for $5 or $10. and yes most of those look like something you wear with a shitty suit or are part of a Sears uniform. not SWD

Except there are leather qualities ranging from terrible to amazing, buckles do show if your shirts are the right length. All it takes is one shitty accessory to bring down a whole outfit. Leathergoodsconnection.com makes very good quality belts for like $50 but I find their buckle selection to be sub-par.
