Rose - Page 2

I drink a lot of rose in summer. It really goes nicely with a meal that has both fish and white meats, or with pasta, whatever.

This year I actually have a few "real" roses for the first time. I agree, great wine to go with light meals.

I just got a couple from Les Claypool's winery and will be sipping them soon.

i find rose goes great with the kind of food i usually eat in the summer ... it's wonderful with anything from teh grill (smoke and acid!). it's got ripe fruit so it works well with acidic foods like salads, tomatoes. it's perfect with garlic. what else does anybody eat in teh summer?

rarely charcoal grilled stuff Because I don't have it, teh grill.

I did drink quite a bit rose this summer, and ate a tremendous amount of goat cheese. Usually I eat a lot of fish or bivalves when it's really hot out (no need to have the oven on for 2 hours). And I find there are far fewer pleasures than a perfect oyster with some slightly chilled rose, or GruVee, or bubbles on the weekend. And I find this to be a bit of a trend for NYC with the lack of grills and all.

Too cold to go outside and grill in the summer. I eat a lot of fish, a lot of chicken, pasta, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant etc.
