Clarks beeswax desert boot for winter?

I know that the suede ones are nono. what about the beeswax?

This is more for the mild winter days with melting snow. I have a pair of katahdins for the truly awful weather.

Experience with black new york snow on crepe sole will be greatly appreciated.

Don't do it, it's tacky. They're called desert boots for a reason. Not only will your feet freeze off(they are DESIGNED to lose heat!!!), but you'll look ridiculous to anyone who knows what they are.
