Heh, I feel a tad vain posting so many photos, but I gots to do what I gots to do...here are up-to-date photos from this morning:

After towel drying, I put in something called "Secret Weapon", basically smoothes out the hair. Then let it air dry a bit and put in Redken Styling Paste 06. It's alright, but I'm still not super happy. See those curlies by my temples? Think those will look better as they get longer?

Thank you people

I'm not really sure what you're going for, but I think it looks almost exactly like the Bradley Cooper photo you posted. I mean, your hair is going to curl like that because it's naturally curly and wavy. If you don't want that, you can buy a straightener. I think they're pretty cheap and easy to use, and you could straighten any wavy hair if you want. Check out some of the American Crew products. I'm sure there is one (maybe grooming cream?) that would work for the longer hair.

Well that's nice to hear, re: Bradley Cooper. I still think his hair (at least on top) is a good 2-3 inches longer, at least.

I have access to flat irons at home, and they seem to work well on me. It's something I'll experiment with, but I'd rather go more natural when it's long, since I'll already have enough work cut out for me when it comes to product.

I'll check out American Crew. In the mean time, I picked up a tin of Murray's for the first time today and I'm going to experiment...any tips?

Your current hair looks fine. I think you're lowering the bar if you go Bradley Cooper.

Bring pics of your desired cut into the salon with you and also ask your hair stylist about the product the subject is using in their hair.

I think it looks good the way it is. I actually wish I had hair more like yours. Mine is just super straight and all I can do is brush it sideways or go short.

For what it's worth, I've been using Murray's Pomade for 4 days and I love it. Not that difficult to get out of my hair, either...it seems to be perfect for my hair type.
