Also a little tip. Use hair conditioner on your face as a pre-shave. Makes a big big difference.

Thanks Tilley! Just wondering what the difference is with the Merkur HD, 15c, and 33c?

I think I'm going to stick with Fusion and upgrade with a Shavemac silvertip brush and Trumper shaving soap. I think this should improve my shaves drastically and in the future if I want, I can alway sorder a DE and blades when I need to order soap refill.

Soap is a bit more drying, but nothing too bad. Soap also makes the shave very slick, where as cream has more of a drag with it's soft fluff.

Everyone has a favorate blade. The two most common occuring favorate blades tend to be Merkur and Feather. Buy this sample pack and decide for yourself: http://www.amazon.com/Double-Razor-B...2&sr=8-2-spell 4) What cream/soap should I get? The Geo F. Trumper creams are my favorite because they are non drying, and the oils they scent them with are great. For a cream, it gives the best shaving experience. That said, the inexpensive Kiss My Face cream will last you a long time and is functionality a better cream. The trade off is not waking up to that great smell in the morning. I use Geo F. Trumpers rose cream myself. I have no recs for soap. 5) What brush should I get? Ditto on the Vulfix. For future reference, dont spend more than $120 on a brush. After that price point the returns are pretty diminishing. Also remember to shampoo your brush as soon as you get it. When they ship them out they put inceticide power on them so they dont become infested with mites.
