SUPER-TALL guy needs to start dressing his age! - Page 3

I'm 6'6".

The "high fashion" brands fit annoyingly well; Etro, Gucci, Prada, etc. all seem to be slim fit and have unusually long arms/inseams. Diors have 38" inseams that are supposed to stack a lot but on me are a pretty regular fit. Bit too pricey for everyday wearing, but they're a good place to look for special occasion clothing.

Decent slacks often come unhemmed at 36-40" inseams which is great for us. Also, if you can find a good OTR shirt that fits in the sleeves and doesn't have an enormously oversized collar, a good alterations place can work wonders for not much ($20 a shirt at my local place, $15 to taper pants).

Short sleeved shirts would work well but I don't like them, personally.

Finding decent shoes in a size 13 is harder than finding clothes that fit, IMO.

Get Ande Whall jeans, there's a pretty good variety of cuts and he can make inseams up to 44".

Have you tried soaking in hot water and then sitting in the dryer for an hour? You might shrink to a more reasonable size.

I actually have two pair of Ande Whall jeans sitting in my closet. They've been there for probably 3 or 4 years, and I've never worn them. I ordered the wrong size, and sat on it too long. I see all his sizes are standardized now. I think I might fire him an email and see what my options are.

Haha. I'll look into that, since having my legs removed at the kneecaps will be a little too expensive.

All great ideas. Thanks very much! Oh, and for comparison's sake...if you think finding size 13 shoes is tough...try size 19!

No such thing as a high quality shoe in size 19 (Allen Edmonds, Alden etc) unless you go bespoke. I've been lucky to find some in size 15, but that's pretty much as far as they'll go and only in the rarest circumstances.

It's where I get all my shoes. Adidas Superstars are pretty versatile.
