1st time in a CM was in soho

CM is a good alternative to BR IMO.

A basic shirt at CM will run you no more than 100 bucks, also lets not forget about their Wright Suit which is actually really well made for the price.

Most definitely....I've found Banana's pieces very drab over the past 2 years or so. At least Club injects some variety in their pieces.

And if you wait them out, you can find the shirts marked down to $30....well at least that's what I find in my local store.

Wasn't super-impressed with their shirting. The designs were awesome (colors, pockets, patterns, etc.) but they didn't fit very well and haven't held up to washing.

I stop by on occasion but never buy anything. I only go there because the one at my local mall has some great eye candy working there.

For anybody who hasn't been in there recently, its worth a look. The following are a couple of snaps from their site of their current offerings:





This season really is a departure from anything they have ever done before. The aesthetic is a lot more Brunello Cucinelli than Thom Browne although it definitely shows in the tailored clothing that they hired the former Brooks Black Fleece design director (Not Thom himself) to run mens design. Other than the jackets, which are cut far too short, the general fit this season has drastically improved from what I remember in the past. I've been watching them like a hawk for markdowns as I can't wait scoop that fairisle crewneck.

I used to shop there all the time in my late teens/early 20's but now everytime I go I see the pricing and go WTF?! I could buy stuff a little more expensive and be happy with it..It's also has turned into that abercrombie kinda of thing where next seasons its going to be the same thing and I was have this mentality of "ill buy it next time it'll still have the same stuff next year" which has led to me not buying anything from them in years but every weekend i Do stop in to maybe find that item i desperatly need.
Their old stuff used to be really cool and always stocked up on their basics whether it being their button ups/t shirts and sweaters but after a while their stuff turned a little dingy
I still have a handfull of clothes now that have actually stood the test of time and look as good as new..The clothes fit me perfectly then and had a slim cut before everyone had slim cuts but now I think they make their clothes for tiny asian men,Which is all I see shopping there anyways now
But if you have money to blow and the fit is right go for them..qualitys pretty good for basics and I think is better than:gap,BR,Polo.

would pick out the crewneck and the duffle if it goes on sale haha

Somehow last time I went on my thrift circuit I was able to pick up a couple CM L/S buttondowns for $4 each. I like the cut of it, but the fabric feels pretty ******. Since it's thrift I'm assuming it's older. How's the quality of their shirt fabric nowadays? Any better?

They have a camel colored cableknit cashmere sweater that looks and feels outstanding. I have no idea about the quality as I didn't look too closely. I would definitely pick one up once it goes on sale.

lol, are you serious. Is this another of those "real man" size things. Aside from maybe one of their suit cuts nothing is that tiny. Most of their smalls = a 38 chest.

I used to fit in the smalls.Which i still have and they fit great..now the smalls I tried on dont even work.

I have one near work and browsed it on the weekend. The fair isle sweater's pattern is awesome but the wool is crap. Better off sticking to basics rather than knits. Also the tweed-ish patch pocket sportcoat they have is actually worthwhile or rather it will be once it's 50% off or whatever.
Are they marked as small/medium/large or 38/40/42?

One thing that's impressed me is that over the past year I've noticed MOP buttons on their shirts now. I just picked up a white club collar OCBD for 17 dollars after taxes and student discount. Makes an affordable alternative to some BBBF or Ervell shirts.

If anyone is interested, I can proxy some of the shirts that the CM near me had on sale.
They had:
white OCBD with club collars and point collars for (classic fit, xs is like 18.5" p2p)
short sleeved blue gingham and red gingham shirts ( slim fit..so an xs would be like 18" p2p)
Pretty much every size was available too

Those are the two that stick out in my mind the most..but if you're interested in anything else just shoot me a PM, I can check it out today and tomorrow to see what else they might have.

They're not as good as either and the cut varies with each particular shirt. I found this amazing seersucker gingham ocbd there that fits miraculously and subsequently went through every shirt they offer hoping to find more given everything was discounted at the time and zip, nada. They make some absolutely idiotic design choices on the majority of their stuff, that is the problem. The things that are good are often ruined by poor materials or workmanship like that fair isle knit. Whether it's worth it to you to leaf through for the few good things each season...
