I also have one of their modern slim. Would not recommend unless you're 5'4 and weigh 114lbs

edit.

What are these people really thinking?

It isn't that skinny fit -- I am 185 and wear L in the modern slim. Sizing up results in grandma's mumu effect. I wear M in their slim fit.

FYI: The extra 40% off on sales items is back this weekend.

Has anyone else seen this suit (at 50% off now):

http://www.clubmonaco.com/product/index.jsp?productId=18420796

I purchased it a few weeks ago. It is a really nice blend...50% silk, 35% linen, 15% wool (IIRC). Seems like a really nice buy for the price. Unfortunately the trousers look like they are sold out.

Looks interesting. Can this be worn as a jacket by itself or it it too close to a suit jacket?

Ugh why couldn't they have the matching pants.

Looks pretty suit-y to me.

IMO it is best suited as a suit, but I'm sure some people could pull it off as a summer jacket.

I didn't see this suit until it went on sale a couple weeks ago. I had to buy from both the Canadian and American sites in order to get a full suit! IIRC, the Canadian site didn't have the pants at all.

As a side note, the jacket has a nice subtle weave to it that is not visible in the photos.

I called a store in Canada looking for a particular sale item and the discount begins tomorrow (Wednesday). Likely the same in the U.S.

Do you guys think I can wear this as a sport coat?

I wouldn't.
