The gloves are actual peccary? I thought they were just nice calfskin or something, with fake texturing to look like peccary lol. You'd think they'd list that they're peccary (guess that isn't much of a selling point to the layman) in the description. That's such a steal.

Just got my Davis slim fit chinos in. Thanks for the recommendation to size 2 down -- they fit perfectly without a belt, as chinos should. Also the colors are dope, so I guess I don't have to lust after Walnut Gios anymore (though I'm sure it's a higher-quality pant overall) Also got one of their Edward slim fit shirts in. Really like the fit as well, so I guess I'll be definitely be ordering more from CM.

It was odd that they didn't list it as peccary on the website, but in the store the gloves have a label saying they're peccary.

Any ideas what I should buy with 2 $100 vouchers? Can't combine the vouchers so I can only spend $100 at a time. 

How do Monaco Chinos compare to JCrew urban slims? Particularly in quality and fit?

Just stumbled into the CM location at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto and was pretty impressed with the store and the collection. Seems like they're moving into the J Crew territory with both the lay out of the store, mens section at least, and the types of patterns, and styles in comparison to previous years. They also seem to be offering some items that are outsourced to other clothing makers that do it better, but bear their logo. Either way, I really liked what they have and would keep more of an eye for them next time i'm in the market for some new items. I had recently bought a plaid button up, really like the pattern, pretty unique and not as boring as some other stuff out there, like Banana Republic, Gap, etc.

Last time I was in CM at yorkdale the men's section was gone. Do you know if they've reversed this decision company wide? So many stores going women's only.

What do you guys think of CM's oxfords? Specifically looking at the slim-matty fit, anyone have it?

I have three or four CM oxfords. They are extremely durable. I wear a blue one regularly and it has not faded excessively and the seams are still solid. The quality is noteworthy.

The store renovated again. No longer besides hmv now. It's a whole new store with a darker vintage look. Gotta check it out

It's now at the far end of the mall (far from the subway entrance anyway). The Men's is next to the women's, and I find it a little small and claustrophobic. The one on Bloor is pretty nice though, but come to think of it, the men's section there also feels like a lot of stuff stuffed into a too small space.

As for the oxfords, I don't own any.

They've been doing renos for ages, is bloor west still the officail "mens shop" where they get the exclusives or is that back at eaton now?

I'm still around, moved slightly north to Aurora. I've been trolling around here for a while, and just figured I'd chime in.

Still have the chino's btw, hopefully they'll get some burn as spring rolls near.
