Club Monaco: Adventures in decent clothing and horrible marketing - Page 82

so stoked the 25% off coupon was good on third party. I grabbed some 3sixteens. Kind of wishing I had picked up some rancourts too.

Didn't realize they carried 3Sixteen at Club Monaco.

Seems to be a bad move IMO, unless they are going to stop making jeans themselves.

yeah pretty much undercuts their own denim. essentially "do you want to purchase these higher end jeans or ours for cheap" ...
Especially when cheap is VERY relative. At $179.50 their 'Barrett' house brand selvedge denim isn't even close to being reasonable.

Lots of better options in quality terms for just marginally more money and several options for similar quality and much lower price point.

Oh also, historical note:

This isn't the first time Club Monaco has undercut their own denim sales.

Until about Fall of 2009 they had quite a good selection of Levi's 501 and 505 denim in some of their larger locations.

That is nice. Does it fit more like a sweater or an outwear peice? Wonder if I can layer it under a jacket.

Kinda waters down 3sixteen for me too...

I guess I could see them carrying APCs (although everyone does); I think if you already know 3sixteen, you wouldn't necessarily go to CM to look for them.

I'm just being salty, just got a pair of SL-100s from Self Edge and paid regular price...
