Ray-Ban New Wayfarer as eyeglasses?

I'm seriously thinking about getting this pair of sunglasses and changing the lenses out for prescription lenses. Thoughts? It's hard to imagine the frame color with clear lenses, but I think it'd make the statement I'm looking for.

These sunglasses look good on me after checking them out at the mall today, which is surprising because other wayfarers did not.

I love my wayfarer sunglasses and want to get another pair as my prescription glasses. I don't know your style so I can't comment on the color of the frames. For me I would go black or brown. I think I would like brown better. You don't see too many people with brown glasses frames. Go for it.

style is leaning more towards J Crew catalog / The Style Blogger. Kanye West is one of my inspirations too

I think Ray Bans though classic, are really over done. I would recommend the Shuron Sidewinder if you want that look.

I've seen people do it quite often around here. If you think you look good in it, just do it. I'm not a fan, but it can look okay (hipsters or not).

Hipsters have Clubmasters in NYC as well. But don't worry about hipsters. Just get what you want.
