For sale is a nice pair of Alden 763 Leisure Hand Sole Penny Loafers for Brooks Brothers, size 7 B/D Shell Cordovan Color #8 (burgundy). Remember, these Aldens run 1/2 size large.
I've ordered new heel pads from Alden, as they were missing. I will provide you with those, of course!
I came across this pair in my travels and so hoped they would fit me. Unfortunately, they are a little too wide for me which causes the back of the shoe to slip. Also, my left foot is a half size smaller so these just aren't going to work out. I wouldn't be selling them if they did, that is for certain.
Remember, these Alden's generally fit one half-size large, so if you are a US7.5, this is for you. This pair is a little loose on me, so if you are a wider 7.5 or even a medium 8 or close to it, I think these will be great for you. Felt tongue pads are already installed and easily removed.
These were resoled with full soles and heels, though I do not believe by Alden. It is a nice job, though, as you can see in the photos. It looks like these were worn just a a few times after the resole job. There is just a hint of wear on the heel. The seams are tight, the toe box has good shape. I think you'll be very pleased with this pair, given the price. The lighting in the photos is a bit weird, obviously. The color and patina is great.
