This, along with their availability at discount, makes them popular among forumites. Shoulders are quite soft, the garment is lightweight, the lapel has a wonderful roll. The blazers you're looking at online are either Polo I or II.

Basic models I can think of off the top of my head are typically characterized by the following details:
Polo I: 2-3 buttons, one vent
Polo II: 2-3 buttons, two vents
Polo III: 2 buttons, ticket pocket, two vents
Polo IV: 3 buttons, ticket pocket, two vents

Some say that III and IV fit slimmer, however, I have not had that experience, and many RL SAs have told me otherwise. IME they all fit similarly.

Other models (forgetting some):
Princeton: slim lapels, much slimmer chest/body, one vent
Grant Soft: unstructured, uncanvassed, unpadded, 3 patch pockets, two vents
Garrison: FU large ass lapels, roped shoulder without much padding, more shape
Bradford: Slimmer lapels, slimmer body, soft (I believe) shoulders

The last two were launched last year as new models.

I tried on a "Polo 1" navy blazer a week ago while traveling and looked for it online when I returned. Hence, my post here trying to determine if this was the same blazer, a slimmer cut. It certainly looks the same in the photo. The brass buttons were muted, not shiny.

The one I tried on was a "Polo 1" DOUBLE VENTED (not a single vent like you note above) and a slimmer cut. Hence my question about the cut.

While Polo I traditionally has had a single vent, things change and there are exceptions, hence the disclaimer.

Polo I-IV IME have all had the same sort of fit and cut, though some argue that III and IV are slimmer. There should not be a difference in cut between I and II- my guess is that it denotes two and three buttons, respectively.

This is true. Polo I - 2-button, Polo II - 3-button.
Most Polo II jackets have a double vent but I believe I've come across one or two with a single vent. Polo I used to always have a single vent but now I'm seeing them both ways.

I take it you don't like the brass button approach?

Polo II (3 r 2.5 w/ dual vents), horn buttons. Will fit the same as the one you tried on. Usually following the Private Sale in Nov., they have a friends and family sale that involves a 30% off coupon. If it's still around, and not discounted in the F&F sale, would be the best time to buy.

Thanks! How much is the F&F sale and how does one participate in the sale? Is it by invitation only?

Very nice staple item. As long as it fits, you can't go wrong.

I am not a big fan of brass or gold buttons, but you can always change them out for some nice horn buttons.

Any further thoughts on this blazer? Are the thicker buttons on this model (compared to thickness on other Polo) still appropriate for business wear?

Thoughts on the buttons of this model? Appropriate for business? Or too large/thick? One thing I like is that the buttons are kind of dull/muted and not shine-laden which reduces a bit of the bling effect common to many gold buttoned blazers.

although I previously said fully-canvassed, after buying two polo sport coats/suits since that post, I think they're half canvassed.

If you start a new thread on every specific navy blazer you're considering, while at the same time making it clear that you have not done a bit of due diligence before posing the question, you should expect to get responses thusly.

This is all good information. Thanks for posting.

Anyone have Polo's other navy blazer, which is called "Classic 2-Button Navy Blazer?"

If so, is it the same cut / fit as the "Two-Button Navy Blazer," noted in the original post? Here are pics of the "Classic" model for comparison. Looks like the buttons, vent and fabric is different. But can anyone speak to the fit differences if any?

Apologies for the necropoast but I am submitting my vote of confidence for the blazer in the original post in case folks will be considering purchasing this item.

The fit is pretty close to my RLBL suit jacket with a little more room for a classic look.
