No way. If it needs a trim, trim it, but don't let others dictate your facial hair. It's a wedding, not the army.

A couple of options: 1. Trim it up in the way you would for the wedding and send her a picture asking if it will be okay. You could probably even take the picture in your tux. 2. Shave it a week or two prior (so your skin heals up), and make the bride happy. Costs you nothing to do this kindness and takes only a few weeks to grow back. EDIT: forgot to add that beard or no beard, if you're in the wedding party and can't pull one of her hot friends, you've got other problems.

Obviously this would be the kind thing to do. Also a rather ridiculous thing to ask or to assent to.

I vote to trim it, it's her special day but you have to be yourself. As the beard defines you, keep it.

...she's likely to have a few of those.

Keep the beard. Had she asked you to cut your hair, you'd say no. This is no different.

If you like the beard, keep it. Fuck what other people say.

keep the beard. she'll get over it. it's your fucking facial hair. if she wants to control the napkins, cups, cake, beverages, and the seating arrangements then by all means it's her fucking wedding. this is your identity, man.

Having one's wife dictate a man's facial hair is bad enough, but letting some other man's wife dictate it is a next level kind of emasculation.

Last I checked, you're part of the groom's party. Ask the groom.

She can tell the bride's maids what to wear, how to do their hair, etc.

No! Do not ask the groom. He didn't ask you.
