What about keeping the insides of leather shoes fresh and clean? Is it safe to use those anti-bacterial sprays for sneakers?
Cedar Shoe Trees.
This is the only answer that is acceptable for leather shoes (unless this is bowling league rentals - in which case spray).
The Cedar Shoe Tree does a few things.
1: Absorption of moisture.
2: Chemicals in cedar are naturally antimicrobial, oils from this sort of plant are often used in "natural" cleaners.
3: Aromatic nature keeps them fresh smelling.
4: "shapes" the shoe. After you wear a shoe the creases and things build up in the toe, applying shoe tree helps to minimize these between wearings.
The only other thing you must do is BUY MORE SHOES.
If you are only comfortable wearing a black blucher to work, own atleast 3 black bluchers. Rotate them. If you will wear a variety of styles of shoe then make sure to rotate, but on average try not to wear any one shoe more than every other or every third day. This gives the shoe linings (leather) time to dry.

the down side is your butt will only be good for one pair of shell cordo in toddler shoes. You still want it?
