There used to be a guy selling 721's on eBay, but I haven't seen any for a long time frown.gif Anyone know of any venders who still have some, or should I be looking forward to new releases this fall?

I randomly came across some sites that sell them in the last few weeks, but can't remember which. They typically only have very limited sizes left.

Appreciate it, but damn those are overpriced. $1300 vs. ~$650-800 I saw on eBay. Steep frown.gif

Yeah I took a peek, unfortunately I'm a 10.5/11

Cultizm is located in Europe, so the prices are typically higher.

Plus, they have the 20% off coupon that works, and only works, on the 721 (and the coupon code is listed on the product page)

Unless you are really into this particular 1000 mile boot. For a pair of $700+ boots, I'd rather get some pair of shell cordovan Alden boots + some red wings or non-cordovan 1000 mile boot. The 721 looks nice, but I think $700+ is too expensive.

It's like a raised rash looking condition - like eczema on my boot, lol. I presume this is some sort of moisture or something? Should I not worry about it? It's hard for me to stomach since I'm used to keeping my shoes at a polish. Rubbing and brushing it for 10 minutes straight alleviates it a bit, but the shoe is left dull and the blotchiness is still somewhat visible.

Just an update, I discovered this is when shell "welts". Mine are pretty bad, especially in the vamp. I just wiped and brushed for +10 minutes and the welts are still there. Usually it only goes away if I wipe with some sort of product. I think maybe I'll just let it go and ignore it; the whole reason I went with shell was for their durability, especially in rain. Maybe I'll baby my #8 Aldens, but not these puppys!

It's the next limited release shell boot that will be available in the Fall. The one that the guy above released pictures of which is against his dealer agreement. I'm surprised he's still able to sell any of the 1K line let alone any Wolverine boot.

Crane's, I know you can't reveal any info on the upcoming 744, but I'm going to ask this anyway. If I'm feeling a little non-buyer's remorse from missing out on the 741, am I going to be satisfied with the 744? i.e.: is it a close enough variation to be reasonable substitute?

It'd be OK for a Wolverine rep to chime in, too! (OK - that's not going to happen biggrin.gif)

LOL, one of these days I'm expecting our regional rep or another one of the big wigs to chime in on this thread....

Yeah, I think you'll be happy with the 744LTD. If I didn't already own the 721s I would have a hard time picking one style over the other. Both styles suite me well. I'd be flipping a coin....

From what I'm seeing Wolverine is going to keep expanding the 1K line. I've already seen styles slated for Spring 2013 in the wild. Cool looking boots that should sit well with the street crowd.

I can't remember what the 744 was - plain toe or whatnot - but I am stoked for the reveal. I never thought I'd pay this much for shoes, but my 721's are my favourite shoes/boots on my rack, and will likely pay retail for the 744's.

This is exactly what I want to hear! Can't wait for the 744 release.

I just picked up pair #1000 from my local Orvis outlet. Very clearly a returned item, showing some wear on the sole and upper, but nevertheless a steal. They were, accidentally I imagine, priced as a returned standard 1000 mile boot. I paid 200$ for them. I have enjoyed them for the hour or so I've worn them around the house, but I'm still on the fence about whether to keep or flip or return--I don't need them for any reason. That said, if you're looking for pair I recommend checking out a nearby Orvis outlet.
