lady friends that kiss you on the lips

So most of my friends of the opposite sex, I greet with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
A few months ago, one in particular turned her head and our lips connected...which shocked me a bit.
From that point on, she comes right in for a lip to lip kiss when greeting or saying good bye. I have noticed she does not do this with others.

Is this normal?
Should I not think anything of this?

If this catches on, I will never leave the house. As it is, I hate the way females I see maybe twice a year and hardly know always want a hug. WTF? When did that happen and why?

I know it will happen but I don't understand it.

I mean, I'm not talking about pressing up against bunnies here. And even if I were, why would I be crazy for not wanting to hug random semi-strangers?

I grew up double kissing everyone and can't remember hugging. Accidentally I kissed a male American friend on the cheek at his wedding when he went for a hug. This led to much ridicule.

2) Are you single or intending to be?

I've been in the same situation. It's not normal, it is fun, and then everyone gets married.
