I see that all the time.

One thing I can't stand are phones in the gym - let's say a hotel gym or in a condo. These women like to go into the gym and get on a bloody treadmill and start conversations. Usually they have it at a slow walk's pace so as to actually be able to hold a conversation but it drives me insane. Who talks to someone when they're on a treadmill? And then I thought if I ever had the misfortune of handling a sweaty exercise mobile?

The other one that drives me nuts are people who do it while waiting in queue and won't put it down when it's their turn so the person serving them gets mixed messages because you're not sure which words are meant for those in physical presence and which ones are for the phone. I know people are pressed for time but having a half-hearted conversation makes service slower and makes the queue longer for other people.

And finally, people who receive calls inside a stall. Is it really that pressing you have to do it inside the stall? Do you really spend that much time in there that the person couldn't leave voicemail and have you ring them back 5 minutes later?

How do people text for hours on end? Don't they get irritated? The stupidity of sending hundreds of texts a day boggles my mind.

Tell the girlfriend to shut the fuck up. Tell her to get a job. Read a book. Learn a new language. Make goddamn dinner. Find something to do that doesn't entail bothering people.

Guess what, stupid? Responding to all her texts just encourages her to send more.

It's time to put the phone down. Do it for your sake. Do it for mine.

LOL I hate it when people do that and I do personally find it annoying to text all the time, unless im really bored then I start texting the best friend or someone else who will reply and keep me entertained. LOL about the girlfriend part, some women are too dependent sometimes I have realized. lol

My favorite thing to do is to watch people trying to text while they are intoxicated. You can generally tell exactly what they are thinking by the dopey facial expressions.

It's gotten worse. I was at a bar for my buddy's birthday and on one of the tables were a group of younger party-goers, boys and girls, all somewhat attractive but no one was talking to each other, everyone was buried in their cell phones... It was like watching "Friends", except they were on their cellphones talking to each other or something.

Oh well. More fun for us to have.

I work with kids 16-25 years old in a restaurant and what really freaks me out is the reflexive checking of the phone every few seconds. We (management) tried to institute a strict no phone policy during work hours and you would think we were demanding no breathing for four hours at a time.

I walked into a bar last night and at one table every single person was looking down at their phones texting or whatever the hell they were doing. I wondered why they even bothered going out...
