Mark has said publicly there are no discounts or shipping deals for SF members. One for all, all for one.

I have some old PMs where he stated they would have some sort of sale around the Chinese new year but it never happened.

I would buy like 3-4 pairs if there was some sort of discount offered.

im sorry, i dont mean to be mean, and maybe i misunderstand you. but how does this work?

you wont buy any shoes (this is a major assumption that could very well be incorrect, see end of post) because you cant get a sale on great stuff already fairly priced or better, but if you were offered a few bucks off all of a sudden you would kop 4 pairs just like that? seriously man that is backwards. it sounds more like an excuse not to buy things or a need to get special treatment. SF is a great place and all, but the armoury services more than just the forum, and the price is the price. and that is perfectly fair and reasonable. /rant.

i apologize for going off. its not really about you per say, im more commenting on a certain mentality i sometimes see.

here's what you should do: get 2 pairs at non-sale prices, and use whats left over for a bottle of good wine and just chill.

€ 35,- for EMS is a shipping deal. although not on their behalf, just benefitting from the lower rates out ouf their place.

in comparison. AUT to US would be in the seventies or eighties. yikes.

Looking for some info on the Ro bags available on the site. I've been eyeing the medium/large brief for some time now. Durability and quality of the leather? Any information on the interiors? Pen holder, internal pockets, lining, etc?

Thanks!

Hi all, just a follow up to my earlier issues with ordering a pair of Carmina MTO shoes through the Armoury.

The shoes arrived in time for the occasion I intended them to be worn to, and while not the precise design I originally ordered were accompanied by an apology and some other sweeteners with which I am completely satisfied with.

So while they made a mistake, they were happy to go out of their way to offer recompense - which is commendable IMO. The service I have received from Ethan (aka ethandesu here) has been nothing short of fantastic.

The shoes are great, and the good folk at TA might be happy to know I am already planning my next MTO order. smile.gif

I appreciate your candor and just to be clear, I'm not complaining. However, the thought of getting something at a discount is always going to give me (and I'm sure most others) incentive to spend more. I was excited when I heard there might be a sale as I'm sure most people would have been also. Personally, I rarely pay full price for anything and have no problem forgoing a particular item if I can't get it on some sort of promotion or sale. Like you said, "the price is the price" and that's fine with me. As for special treatment, I'm sure ANYONE would appreciate some sort of discount - free shipping, or XYZ % off the price, etc. The forum accounts for a good chunk of business for their store...........I'm sure even they would acknowledge this. Is it so bad if they show some appreciation for this? As nice as Carmina shoes are, $500 + per pair is steep for me, however any sort of incentive to get me to pull the trigger would be favorable for both myself and The Armoury. After all, I'm not asking to get them for free.....they would still make money.

FYI, I'm always chill homie - I would take you up on your suggestion, except I don't drink wine!
