Is it just the width that's an issue? Have you considered having them stretched/widened?

Thanks mate!

Will be picking it up soon.

Hope your wife and you are having a blast in HK.

Do you guys currently offer/will you guys be offering Ring Jacket suits in more fabrics? I really like the 136 cut with the wider lapels, but am looking for a more pedestrian mid grey wool. I PM'd YFYF a while back about RJ MTM orders, and he said they would come in a couple of times a year to take measurements and send a finished garment. Any idea on how often this would be, what the surcharge will approx. be and whether they will offer CMT? Thanks!

Some of our Ring Jacket range is seasonal and some of it is "core", which means we have it all year round. We will be expanding our "core" to include a junior navy in May. Our Spring Summer selection will be wider than this season's as well. Unfortunately, no 136 in a mid grey wool on offer for now, though it would be pretty great to offer this, so maybe we'll make it available next time we expand our "core" range.

The next Ring Jacket order tour has been scheduled for beginning of April, typically the surcharge is about 20% over an equivalent RTW wool. Unfortunately, there isn't a CMT option.

Probably not the exotics as RTW because they are quite pricey but we do intend to expand our cordovan selection this year. We do have two pairs of loafers in cordovan now, a goodyear penny loafer and a true moccasin loafer.

Yeah, Carmina does magnificient coloured cordovan (moreso out of their Paris shop) - although other aspects of their construction currently seem to have changed. Miss Palma.

The search function brings many of these up, oldies on the forum, but goodies.

Trying to get a feel for how sleek the double monks are.

The Inca is little wider across the toes than the Simpson. Certainly for Alan and I, it is the most comfortable of any last we've tried for any maker because of this feature, but your mileage may vary depending on the shape of your foot. Customers with narrower feet, especially at the toes, don't like it as much because it's a bit too much wiggle room.

Just received my exchange today from the team at The Armoury - very helpful service, very fast and detailed responses to all questions, and very fast shipping from HK - A+!

I really want The Carmina Burgundy Adelaide . These shoes are the balls.

It appears that folks have had great luck with their customer service in this thread. I'm nervous about ordering shoes that I've never tried on though. This would be a bit of a departure for me, as most of my current crop of shoes are Gravati and Bontoni -- all of which I wear a 9D (9M) US. I do have the RL Darlton's (by C&J) in a 9US, and frankly they are probably a tad bit big. Folks who have ordered from the Armoury, do you recommend ordering your standard US size and taking your chances with the return policy?

The Carminas are marked with UK sizing so I would recommend you get your recommended British size or just contact them and they should be able to help somewhat. Customer services over there is top notch.

Thanks! I am a bit nervous since I have not owned any UK sized shoes. I'll try my luck with their customer service and convert my US size. It seems EG is a good analog, maybe I'll try on a couple pairs of them for fit. In the meantime, I'll definitely contact the customer service department.

Is this a 136? Looks splendid.

Unless they carry dashing tweeds or a wide array of fabrics, I'm assuming in your case being their collaborator they did admit a CMT order? I'll be in the People's Republic this summer, and hope I can schedule a trip to HK when they're on tour and that they carry mid-weight frescos (or that I can talk them into CMT

I would guess that that's a Chan.

Either way, if you really want a fresco, go with Chan. They have a concession inside the Armoury.

It's a Ring Jacket: http://www.thearmouryhk.com/lookbook...or-the-armoury

I was very close to setting up an appointment with Chan here in DC, but after seeing Ring Jacket and Napoli Su Misura stuff on SF I am not sure I could ever purchase suits or sport coats from any other maker (other Neapolitan styled stuff might work, but at my current age and income would be out of place)
