They changed the fabric and the rise sometime in the last couple of years, for the worse, in my opinion.

I assume the change in fabric was to make them “dressier” as the previous fabric had a bit of a softer, matte hand. As well, the color of the khaki pants has browner hues than before, to their detriment.

The pairs I have with a blue label are perfect, the pairs with an orange label have a poorer hand and fit. Of course this is all opinion/conjecture on my part.
That's disppointing. Are the new ones' fabrics still from solbiati?

Random question but while we are discussing the chinos... Do you guys put vertical creases on your chinos, or do you wear them casually without crease? I seem to always waver between the two.
I prefer a crease on the green chinos. In my mind, the fabric's sheen makes it dressier to the point that it makes more sense to have it with a crease.
With the navy pair, I prefer it without a crease, it gives me the option to dress it down.

I’m not sure. To be clear, new fabric seems fine, it just has a bit more shine/wet hand to it. I preferred the earlier fabric.

Just purchased a pair in navy and you're right, there is a sheen that i havent noticed in the older armoury videos on the sport chino. But I'm assuming/hoping it'll fade with constant washing because it seems a little dressy at the moment

This thread has inspired me, I’m going to toss all my sport chinos into the wash to ditch their crease and see how I like them that way. Especially with summer coming along, I love wearing them in warm weather.

Max@TheArmoury

Hi Max, can products purchased from https://thearmoury.com/ be shipped from HK instead of the US?

I live in Shanghai, and the shipping cost is wildly expensive if products are being shipped from the US instead of from HK... Plus the wait will also be shorter if from HK.
A follow-up to this:

I managed to buy the Sport Chinos in 'Ecru' (apparently that's what they are calling the then 'Natural' one going forward) directly from HK via PayPal.

Communicating via WeChat, the shop staff has also offered to swap out the off-white buttons for me with the older ones in tan with no additional upcharge.
