Getting laid too much reinforces sociopathic tendencies. Tread carefully, my friend.

If you take public transit, you will eventually feel nothing but disgust for your fellow man.

Misanthropy and sociopathy are not the same thing. You guys seem to be confusing the two.

I embrace them equally.

As do I, but it doesn't mean they are the same.

Ya... You're right. I just woke up. I'm a misanthrope, not a sociopath. We even had a thread on it.

I'm pretty sure that I've got the right thing.

From the DSM 4th ed

1. failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest;
2. deceitfulness, as indicated by repeatedly lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure;
3. impulsivity or failure to plan ahead;
4. irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults;
5. reckless disregard for safety of self or others;
6. consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations;
7. lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another;
8. promiscuity;
9. having shallow or seemingly nonexistent feelings.

You just defined sociopathy. Nowhere in there is "despises other human beings." Sociopaths do not care one way or another for others. They toy with others for their amusements. True misanthropes have an emotional disgust or disliking of other people. Sociopaths do not have this emotional reaction to others.

Two separate concepts.
