Moet Vs Veuve Cliquot Vintage Champagne

I have a reason to celebrate and wanted to either purchase the Moet Chandon Champagne Grand Vintage 2003 or the Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2002. Any suggestions?

Moet is piss. VC is passable, vintage 2002 is not bad. I'd rather a Taittinger or Bollinger Grande Annee for about the same price.

Although Moet is normally shit, the Grand Vintage 03 was actually really a nice drop. Depending on what price you can get it for, i would put it comparable to Roderer or the Ruinart Blanc de Blanc NV(which is one of my favourites)

Yeah but nobody at the club knows what Bollinger Grande Annee is, and it'd probably look like a cheap alternative to Moet at the club when OP sits down at his table, attempting to attract looks from gold-digging cum guzzlers.

The Bollinger Grande Annee is not at the price point as the Moet and Veuve mentioned. I ended up going with the Veuve Vintage as it was discounted. On my next bottle I will probably have to drop down to a non-vinatge and I will try one of the other brands suggested in this thread.

You could get a nice Dom Ruinart for what those two cost.
