Hmm anyone?

Without a doubt the scotty - I have one in grey and it's soft and just a perfect size and the acrylic isn't itchy unless you start sweating. I ran it through the wash since I somehow spilled coffee on it and it came out okay, so that's a plus too (it's hand-wash, obv.).

i would stay away from all acrylic headwear, just pay the extra money for a natural material, your ears will thank you.

There are several levels of acrylic, much like any other fabric, and I don't know about the ears so much as your forehead - cheap shit can get really, really itchy on my forehead.

Check out any of the beanies from the Coal Considered line if you want something non-acrylic.

First two in merino wool for only $35. The last one in cashmere for like $65. I might get the first one.

Yeah I just have an acrylic beanie from coal and I never wear it because it's insanely scratchy and uncomfortable. Acrylic isn't very warm either.

My my experience, they're not terribly scratchy on my head. But that must just differ from cap to cap. The red white and blue one is 100% acrylic. The olive green one is 85% acrylic and 15% cotton. When I wear the green one, I forget I have it on. Very light. But I would also agree that these are not warm hats. So if you're somewhere where that is an absolute necessity, and this aint about "style" to a large degree, then go to REI and get a some real shit that will keep you warm. Not Coal, imo. They are more fashion than function.

as I go on to post my flippin' Coal hats itt.. :/

SNS Herning (darker shade of blue than the photo suggests. A midnight navy, or even just black unless examined closely). The black speckled background in the last two photos are a scarf, not the hat. Only used to display the tags against).

I would post fit pics if I could get it over my head..

Why would anyone buy an acrylic beanie when they can buy wool?
