Help with hair style

Thread Starter
I've always wanted the "out of the shower, towel dried hair" look. It looks much better than my bland normal hair. Thing is, I have no idea how to duplicate the effect with hair products.

I have some pictures of my hair, normal and towel dried (not the best quality, but you can see the effects):

Normal

Towel dried

As you can see, towel dried has much more volume, definition, and it retains it's position once put into place. I have Asian hair, so it absorbs the water and makes my hair very moldable. I don't want that exact hair style, just have my hair have the same effect.

Background info: I've never really used hair products, so I'm a newbie at them. I also have very thick hair.

So can anyone help me out here? What product(s) should I use and how do I use them to achieve the towel dried hair?

Id blow dry it so it puffs out, then twist an oil based pomade into the tips you want to stick up with your finger tips to simulate a wet look.

You look like you have the average Asian haircut. Try using wax instead of hair gel or hairspray. It will look more natural
