This is what sucks.

They are meant to be enjoyed, not collected. I disagree with wine investment for that purpose, for the most part. I could maybe understand having a couple bottles that you know you'll never drink but that will blow people away, if you also had a ton of bottles for drinking. But it just sucks. And if you have a bottle of 78 Petrus or something, and it's worth a ton of money, you know that if you drink it, you just raise the price on every other bottle of 78 Petrus in existence.

They probably just down it in shots because there is no tradition of blown glass wine glasses. They drink it the same way they'd drink rice wine. Side note when the British discovered gin, they drank it in beer glasses, because that's the way you consumed spirits. Downing a 12 ounce glass of gin on a regular basis is probably not the healthiest thing to do. Leads to crap like the house of lords and such.
