I feel this needs its own thread, instead of continuing to post in the AvP thread.

Important points so far seem to be: Damon Lindelof (Lost) is the writer of the script, Natalie Portman seems to be the front runner for the lead role, and Fox is looking for a PG-13 rating

I have mixed feelings as of now, but I still want this to happen. Huge fan of the series... well the first three.

Good grief. You'd think Fox would have learned their mistake with the first AvP movie. I hope Ridley Scott really fights them on that one.

Pretty much thought the same thing. Hell, it could have been "Charlize Theron imitating Gilbert Gottfired reading Charlotte Bronte naked" and I'd be a lock. She is the hottest African-American alive.
