C&J Tetbury: creasing problem?

I like the shape of the Tetbury and consider to buy a pair. Found some pictures on the net where the shoes showed massive creases. Is this a general problem of the C&J nubuk leather or is it only due to a false fit? Any alternatives for a chiseled chukka?

Thanks

It's the elongated last. A chukka on the 348 just doesn't work I feel. I purchased a pair and pretty much regretted it instantly. I'm also looking for a suitable alternative

The picture's accurate. You'll like the creases or you won't.

I think it is a poor fit and improper care. I don't think it being a chukka has anything to do with it. I have three pairs of C&J shoes on the 348 and they don't crease any more than any other shoes I have.

I had a couple of other C&J models on the 348 in the past - a Highbury derby and Drummond (suede). The creasing definitely didn't happen on these. Perhaps I've just been unlucky.

I thought the creasing on my Tetbury shoes was more a function of the leather used.

I have three pairs in the 348 last, including the Tetbury. No creasing issues at this side.
I do find the Tetbury's too "long" for a chukka, IMHO.

again, likeewise here. 2 pairs of 348 on both calfskin and suede and neither have abnormal creasing. actually the suede chukkas creases less visibly. does look a little pointy though

Ok. One was on ebay but the auction is already terminated.
Another one is posted here. This is what I call excessive and what cannot be explained with "character" of the shoe, imho.
Another critical opinion here.
There was a similar thread in the styleforum archive. Cannot find it again.

To sum the opinions up (so far): a few who think creasing is a problem but most are fine at least with the suede version.

I own two pairs of C&J on the 348 last by myself. No severe problems with creasing. So the question points only to the Tetbury.
I was close to buying a pair of Tetbury. Thus, I tried them already on. Had the feeling that I should size down a half-size. Any comments on the fit? Did you buy your normal size?

If you've tried them on, then you're the best judge of fit.
