reading the latest uk esquire, there was a small mention of berluti getting into the small leather goods market (wallets and such) - i can imagine the quality will be quite good - possibly similar to valextra? hermes?

That should be a treat. As to how the quality is it probably is higher than Valextra or Hermes. Take their shoes as compared to Hermes; they are much more expensive in terms of ready to wear. Actually Hermes bespoke by Lobb is at a lower price point than Berluti Paris if I remeber correctly.

Perhaps their leather articles are analagous to Goyard de Paris or Loewe.

Also is there a contact email or such for Berluti?

this is what is written in the british esquire:

"berluti, the bespoke shoemaker with a heritage dating back to 1895, has designed a new range of luxurious 'pret-a-porter' leather accessories. the collection of belts and wallets is all handmade by italy's best craftsmen, using the finest, softest venezia leather.
from UKPOUNDS110. Enquiries 020 7437 1740"

the telephone number being a uk number of course

perhaps with berluti being controlled or owned by lvmh now they're trying to get more out of the brand for their investment
