Best Loofah

No homo, what's a good loofah? The last one I had a girl picked out and I think I ended up with an overpriced POS. I also don't want something made from dodo feathers that costs $5000.

Never used anything other than dollar walmart plastic loofahs myself and never had and urge to spend more... curious as well as to what benefits a "better" loofah conveys.

+1. I get the 3 pack at Bed Bath & Beyond. Unless you're using a natural sponge from the sea I see no point in splurging.

That's what I used and now am back to (not from BBB, but a similar generic synthetic loofah). I'm just wondering if anything else better is out there that's worthwhile.

are sea sponges worth it? it looks like it would chafe the skin...

Yeah I don't see why I'd want a sea sponge either unless it's actually way better in some way. Loofahs are kinda gross enough with my organic leavings no need imo for it itself to be some sort of organic sea hideousness in and of itself. Almost would rather prefer it to be a soulless, sterile abomination of a loofah. That is unless there are benefits!

I usually get this $5 sea spoonge loofah from Bed Bath and Beyond.

It's awesome. Might feel chafing at first but it softens up and you'll get used to it.

whatever I can find that's not in a ghey color at CVS or grocery store.

They're softer than plastic so that shouldn't be a problem. Some people like it. I once bought a $20 all natural one from the Florida coast. Wasn't any better at lathering than a $3 plastic jobby.

The best ones are those loofahs shaped like cylindrical rods (about size of a Coke can) and the interior is somewhat hollow. Like this one:
