I don't see the problem with spending as much on a work shirt as on any other shirt. I had a Studio d'Artisan shirt I regret I sold, really good quality, thick chambray. Also, I have a red chambray from Sunny Sports, really nice colour and fit. + I have one Post Overalls, beautiful blue colour, but short arms. Finally I also got a short sleeve MHL chambray, a little less work wear like than the other shirts, more dressed up, but nice too.

another one that has not been mentioned that actually has a really nice feel is whillas & gunns chambray.
