Red DB Blazer - Worth Salvaging? - Page 3

Seriously, when are you going to wear it? Put piping on it, 6x2, and you're sorted. Regatta blazers are best pulled off the more offensive and garish they are, tbh.

This can be done... Below - Kent Wang, Man of Kent, and Sartorialist. Look at the general color combos.

A bit of a necro post, but fitting since we're approaching the 4th of July. I just got the red coat back from the tailor today. Shortened it by an inch, shortened sleeves, had some suppression added. Looking forward to feedback once I decide to don it again.

The City Hall juries will love it. Keep it around.

inch and a half off the bottom would have been better, but no biggie

I think it's great as is with a little extra fabric removed.

Didn't someone wear that in that Dick Tracy movie several years back.

Holy shit, how did I miss this? That blazer is sweet man. Only thing I might do to it (aside from fit alterations) would be to add some shiny brass or even better white buttons. Seems a bit heavy for the 4th though no?

I think white buttons might be the next step, thought I'm debating that. It's a lightweight flannel and only half-lined; probably a little warm for the 4th, but we'll see.
