In that case, if you are not wearing a bespoke suit with bespoke braces forget it.

By far the only appropriate and intelligent response to this thread...

Very well said sir, thank you

The fact that you are in a nightclub to begin with imply that you are wearing a costume. Look at the people who go to nightclubs, they are all in costumes.

And here's me attempting to be modest...

fights never occur in vip, some clumsy drunk whore never spills a drink over you in vip, no one smokes in vip. Guy i work in finance, I did clubs when I was younger, and had bills over 80k usd that we expensed to the bank. apprently you do not go to clubs much if you think vip means nothing happens. regardless suit in the club=douche. I wear suits to work, and thats it, **** I forgot a t shirt and shorts, and sandals to my college graduation.

I wore suspenders (and a non-business pair of pants that were made for them) to a high-dollar party thrown at some fancy-ass club in the meatpacking district last winter... it was by far the most "hollywood" event I've ever attended. Fire-eating stilt dancers and ****.

My girlfriend loved the suspenders, and I loved that my girlfriend loved the suspenders, and I felt like a million bucks... that's all that matters to me.

I say "do whatever the f*ck you want".

Wait a minute... in this thread, does "nightclub" mean "strip club"? Because if it does, a suit is just fine. A tie is just fine. Not sure why you'd WANT to wear suspenders, but they would probably be just fine, too.

However, I can tell you from experience that actually rich people don't dress like that to go to strip clubs.

I'm assuming that you are going to wear a suit jacket - as it's part of a suit - and thus most people won't be able to see the braces anyway. So isn't the question a bit moot?

I don't think it matters what club your going to. As said before its your choice, if you like braces(i do ) wear them and don't care what people say and yes show them off.

Yeah, it's not that I like braces, it's just that I use them as an alternative to belts when I wear suits to keep the ol' trousers from falling off.

My pants aren't exactly gonna fall off in the club you know, but like without the braces they'll move around, drop, rise, make my shirt come out etc...Totally lame..

LOL, like people don't spill drinks and walk on your shoes cause the bottles are more expensive and there's a doorbitch. I wear my clothes everywhere including when I go out but please, I get pricey frotty champagne drinks spilled on me as often as I get cheap beer.

As for your question well you'll look like a douche but then young guys wearing suits and suspenders in nightclubs almost always look like douches while older men almost always look like older douches.

As opposed to the people going to work or play with their kids or shop or to restaurants? Please...

Jeans, kicks and t-shirt is the way to go. Sitting in VIP and dropping a couple grand isn't that big of a deal. Lots of us do it...in jeans, kicks and t-shirts.

EDIT: not trying to sounds like a dick but I've hit a lot of clubs over the years and suspenders is just a bad look there.
