NDC shoes - quality?

Can anyone share their experience with NDC shoes? I like the look of some of them with jeans or casual pants, but I want to be sure they're not going to come apart quickly.

I bought a pair off Gilt for $300 (which is expensive for NDC I realize) intending to just return them after checking them out, but they're so nice I'm tempted just to keep them.

$300 isnt that expensive. Lately n.d.c's pricing has gone up.
