learning new things

At what age did you realize that you have to work much harder to learn new things than you would have as a kid in college?

I was one of those kids that could teach myself very complex material (especially mathematics) with ease during undergrad. My actual coursework was only the beginning for me.

These days, I work through book after book trying to learn new things, and it just doesn't come easy. I've gotten stupid somehow. It is a strange feeling.

It's easier to learn for me actually.

Just harder to justify the time and be patient.

I've only gotten better at learning as I get older. Short term memory, however...
