Apparently not for me. My wife-to-be was still smoking when I proposed. She quit since then.

The white race has reigned supreme in most anglo-saxon countries for countless generations. If history tells us anything, that is among it. Edit: Can't even find the post I was replying to anymore.

You know how crap you "intellectual" types sound? I pity the weak, ugly and people who try to sound intelligent. I honestly have made no effort to sound intelligent. Why? Because you are all below me. There are some big-timers on here. I will give them that. I have yet to encounter anyone in this thread.

I'm a non smoker and when I was young I did not care one way or another if the girls I went out with smoked or not as long as they were not heavy smokers.

As I got older smoking became a deal breaker, my last girlfriend was a non smoker and I loved not smelling of stale nicotine. After my dad passed on five years ago from lung cancer (pack a day habit from his teens to 63), it became a really big deal breaker.

Dating her as future wife/mother of my children material? Absolute dealbreaker. I watched my grandmother die a slow, painful death by emphysema/cancer. I am never going through that shit again by choice. I don't understand doing something that will take years off your life and doesn't even get you high.

Ditto on all that... plus you always have to consider the influx of hospital bills that come along with those types of health issues.

IF you do fall in love with her and end up wanting to spend the rest of your life with her you'll want to get her to quit, which in my experience is not easy.

For fun, here's a video related to the habit and where to start with kicking it
